Governor Alex Otti of Abia State emphasized that his administration’s focus is on recovering looted funds and ensuring good governance, rather than engaging in unnecessary conflicts.
Speaking during a solidarity visit by various groups and supporters of Chief Rowland Chinwendu, the Member representing Isialangwa South state constituency, Otti reiterated his commitment to the progress and development of Abia state.
He said, “We are not fighting anyone.
“What we want is the progress and development of Abia state.”
He highlighted his administration’s efforts to recover misappropriated funds, including the N10 billion allegedly spent on the airport project, promising that if the project is not found, the past administration will have to refund the money.
Furthermore, Otti announced plans to commence a medical city project in Abia to provide adequate medical care for people with serious health issues.
Describing his administration’s work as a rehearsal, Otti expressed his dedication to delivering democracy dividends in his second year in office.
During the visit, Hon. Rowland Chinwendu expressed his commitment to representing the interests of the people of Isiala Ngwa South in the State House of Assembly. He commended Otti for ongoing projects in the area and pledged his support.
Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Uzo Nwachukwu, Mayor of Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Dr. Elelenta Nwambuisi Elele, Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku, and Mr. Henry Ori also expressed their support for Otti’s administration, describing it as a divine mission to rebuild Abia for the better.
They commended Otti for turning Abia into a construction site and setting the pace for other states to follow.
