The 2023 presidential contender under Labour Party, Peter Obi, said that the crisis rocking the party is nothing compared to that of the All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party.
Recall that the party has recently been thrown into crisis leading to the Nigeria Labour Congress leadership calling for the resignation of party’s national chairman, Julius Abure.
Obi, while addressing a press conference in Abuja, reiterated that internal crisis of the party would be resolved amicably.
He explained that the crises were not fundamental that they cannot be handled, according to Daily Post.
Meanwhile, the Abure-led National Working Committee of LP went ahead with its national convention which held in Nnewi, Anambra State and re-elected Abure to continue.
However, the NLC annulled the national convention that restored Abure, and his National Working Committee.
To fill the vacancy, the stakeholders stated that the Congress will form a transition committee to supervise the party’s business until new officers are chosen in three months.
