The Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, has been appointed to head the Ondo State Peoples Democratic Party governorship primary.
The governorship primary election is scheduled to hold on Thursday.
This was contained in a statement made available to the press on Wednesday in Akure, Ondo State capital by the Publicity Secretary of PDP, Kennedy Peretei.
Recall that seven governorship aspirants had been cleared by the Sen. Sam Egwu Screening Committee to participate in the primary election.
The statement said a total of 627 delegates from the 18 local government areas of the state would elect the governorship flag bearer of the party at the International Culture and Events Centre in Akure.
It stated that accreditation of delegates would commence at 10:00am, according to Daily Post.
The party warned that people who were not delegates or had no meaningful business at the venue should keep a reasonable distance from the venue.
Meanwhile, the governorship election in the state is scheduled to hold on November 16.
