A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Anthony Adefuye, has urged Nigerians to be patient, with the hope that President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms will yield fruits.
The member of the governance advisory council in the Lagos state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, in a chat with the press, stressed that the president’s effort is yielding fruits with the gradual improvement on naira against dollar transactions.
While acknowledging that there is hardship in the land, Adefuye, a third republic senator, appealed to Tinubu to announce the minimum wage for people to have money to purchase things rather than waiting for palliatives, according to The Cable.
“So far, so good. I think we should all be patient. His efforts will yield fruits. You can see the dollar rate is coming down now. I believe everything will stabilise soon.”
He opined that Tinubu’s announcement of minimum wage will give Nigerians more pirchasing power.
“All I just want him to do is to announce the minimum wage as soon as possible so that people can have the power to purchase whatever they want, rather than all these palliatives,” he added.
