A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Adeyeri Stephen, has knocked the House of Representative members over their letter to the president.
Recall that five members of the House Representatives from the state recently accused Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in an open letter addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Adeyeri who described the open letter as inconsequential, noted that the lawmakers’ claims were outrightly fabricated to discredit Aiyedatiwa, according to the Independent.
In a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Abuja, the party Chieftain urged President Tinubu to discard the letter, describing the writers as anti-democratic elements.
The statement reads in part, “The recent letter purportedly authored by five House of Representatives members from Ondo State must be viewed with skepticism and ultimately deemed inconsequential.
“Upon careful scrutiny, it becomes evident that the contents of the letter are not only misleading but also laden with deliberate falsehoods.
“The primary objective of the letter, addressed to President Tinubu, appears to be a calculated attempt to tarnish the exemplary leadership of Governor Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
“The letter’s content lacks substantive evidence and is clearly motivated by personal agendas rather than genuine concern for the welfare of the people of Ondo State.”
