As insecurity is on the rise in the country, the Senate has held a closed-door meeting with security agencies to address insecurity in the country.
The meeting was held behind closed-doors after chamber suspended its regular rules at 11:35 am to allow non-lawmakers access to the plenary, on Tuesday, suggesting the meeting’s critical nature, according to Ripples Nigeria.
Due to the sensitive nature of the discussion, Senate leader Opeyemi Bamidele moved a motion for a closed-door session, prioritizing confidential security briefings.
