The ruling All Progressives Congress, has welcomed the outcome of Friday’s judgment of the Supreme Court, on the appeals of the Governorship elections across 8 states of the federation.
The APC in a press release by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Friday, described the apex court judgments as final decisions, which cannot be challenged by any individual or party.
The party however knocked the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party and other opposition parties in the country, for its alleged degradation of the judiciary and judges, whenever judgment is handed against them.
The ruling party however demanded the opposition parties to tender an unreserved apology to the judiciary and judges, for the “senseless, irresponsible, reckless and unjustified attacks, mounted on the judiciary, throughout the election cycle.”
The apex court on Friday, gave its final judgements on the election disputes in Lagos, Ebonyi, Cross Rivers, Plateau, Bauchi, Akwa Ibom, Kano, Zamfara and Abia states.
However, while APC won in Lagos, Ebonyi and Cross River States, PDP cast home victory in all other states involved in the election disputes.
