The Supreme Court is set to deliver judgment on the Kano State governorship appeal.
The governor of the state, Abba Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party is challenging the decision of the lower court which nullified his election and declared Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress winner of the election.

In September, a five-member panel, led by Justice John Okoro, nullified the victory of Governor Yusuf in the March 18 governorship election and affirmed Nasiru Gawuna as the duly elected governor of Kano.
