President Bola Tinubu has mourned the death of a former Anambra State Governor, Chukwuemeka Ezeife.
Tinubu in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale on Friday, sympathized with the late Ezeife’s family, the people, and the government of Anambra State on the passing of the former Governor of the state.
It would be recalled that the former Anambra State Governor and Okwadike of Igbo-Ukwu, died on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
Ezeife, who governed the state between 1992 and 1993, breathed his last at about 6: pm on Thursday, at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja, at the age of 85 years.
Tinubu in his reaction to the former governor’s demise, extolled the towering impact of the former federal permanent secretary in Nigeria’s political terrain and leadership credentials, describing his death as a painful loss.
The President however recalled the contributions made by the late politician, in shaping public discourse and governance in Nigeria and laying the foundation for advancing his dear state.
He prayed for the repose of the great political leader, while encouraging his family and loved ones, to take solace in his unforgettable legacy.
