The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Kogi State, Murtala Ajaka, has cast his vote in the ongoing election in the state.
Ajaka voted at his polling unit 001 in Okehi Local Government Area around 10:15 am on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
The Kogi governorship election is being contested by candidates from different political parties. Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress is one of the major contenders against his main challengers, Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party and Athan Achonu of the Labour Party.
The governorship election is one of the three off-cycle elections taking place in Nigeria today. The other two are the Bayelsa and Imo governorship elections, where the people of the two states will also choose their governors for the next four years.
