The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has commiserated with the Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, over the death of his father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo.
Obi who mourned the passing of Pa Soludo via a post on his official X handle on Tuesday, gave glory to God for the illustrious life, the senior Soludo lived.
The former Anambra State Governor noted that he remembers visiting the deceased often before his demise, as a close friend of the family, noting that he enjoyed the constant paternal love and fatherly love he enjoyed during such visits.
He however prayed that God grant the deceased eternal rest, and also give the Soludo’s family and friends, the fortitude to bear the loss.
Premium Politics reported that the Anambra governor lost his father at the age of 92 years, on Monday.
“Commiserating with Soludo, Obi wrote: “With a deep sense of grieve, I, on behalf of my family, commiserate with my dear brother and Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, @CCSoludo on the death of his beloved father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo.
“We give God the glory for the illustrious life he lived before going the way of every mortal at the ripe old age of 92 years. As a close friend of the Soludo family, I remember visiting Papa often, and the constant paternal love and fatherly counsel I enjoyed during such visits remain memorable.
“May God Almighty who called Papa home, grant him eternal rest, and grant the entire Soludo family, and all of us who mourn him, the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss. -PO. ”
