President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday received Letters of Credence from four foreign ambassadors in Abuja, where he expressed his administration’s readiness to maintain open lines of communication and cooperation with their countries.
The ambassadors were from Belgium, Angola, Norway, and Venezuela. They presented their credentials to the president at the Presidential Villa and discussed areas of mutual interest and collaboration.
President Tinubu particularly highlighted the potential for strengthening maritime and energy cooperation with Belgium, which has a long-standing relationship with the ports community in Lagos.
He said his administration was exploring the possibility of dredging the Calabar port to enhance its capacity and revenue generation.
He also assured the envoys of an open-door policy, saying he was willing to address any concerns and ensure their stay in Nigeria was rewarding. He said Nigeria was committed to fostering economic collaboration with foreign nations and advancing mutually beneficial opportunities across various sectors.
The foreign ambassadors, in their remarks, congratulated President Tinubu on his election and expressed their dedication to building sustainable partnerships and deepening economic cooperation with Nigeria. They also commended the president for his efforts to improve security, infrastructure, and governance in the country.
