The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has stated that Nigerians are tired of political leaders with questionable or non-existing credentials.
Obi stated this while advising the candidates of the LP in Edo state, during a mega rally of the party, held in the state on Monday, to kick-start the campaign, ahead of the forthcoming local government election in the state, in September this year.
He, however, urged the party candidates to remain competent, capable, and have the much-needed integrity, to deliver accountable governance to the people. noting that Nigerians are tired of presumed leaders with questionable or non-existing credentials.
“I reminded our candidates that in the context of the brand of leadership a New Nigeria needs, they must remain competent, and capable and have the much-needed integrity to deliver accountable governance to the people.
“Nigerians are tired of presumed leaders with questionable or non-existing credentials.LP candidates must be exemplary in this regard,” Obi said.
However, the former Anambra state governor expressed his gratitude to the Obidients family in Edo, and all the LP’s supporters, across the state.
Disclosing this through his X handle on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, Obi thanked the Obidients family, spread across the state, for the warm hospitality accorded him, and the opportunity given him, to interact with the party candidates, and youths across the state.
Premium Politics reported that the Former Anambra State Governor, joined hundreds of the party’s members and supporters in Edo State on Monday, August 21, 2023, to hold a mega rally, ahead of the coming local government election in the state.
