There was a mild drama during the swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers-designate in Abuja on Monday, August 21, 2023, as the Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Audu, prostrated before President Bola Tinubu shortly after taking his oath of office.
According to a video clip from Channels Television, Audu, who is one of the 45 Ministers sworn in on Monday, as Ministers under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, took everybody by surprise, with his action, when he prostrated for Tinubu, immediately after signing his oath book, before going ahead to have a handshake and photograph with the President.
His action however provoked smiles and laughter from dignitaries, who were present at the venue of the swearing-in ceremony, including President Tinubu himself, who also stood up to have a handshake and photograph with the new minister.
Audu before he was appointed Minister by President Tinubu, was a gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State.
The former investment banker was born on November 6, 1980.
He is an investment banker of note, and also, a strong Nigerian politician, and a strong member of the APC in Kogi state.
