The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and the French citizens, on the ocassion of the French National Day celebrated today, July 17.
The Governor, who was represented at the event in Lagos by his Secretary to the State Government, ‘Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, stated that he looks forward to more investments from France in the state, even as they have enjoyed previous partnerships.
The Lagos State Government made this known in a tweet on Monday.
It read, “Governor @jidesanwoolu has congratulated the French President, His Excellency, Emmanuel Macron and the good people of France on the occasion of her French National Day celebration.
“Mr. Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, ‘Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin said Lagos State is proud to be a partner in progress with France to improve the lives of citizens.
“He added that the cooperation between the France, Nigeria and Lagos State is long standing and fruitful. He also disclosed that the teaching of French language has been incorporated in Lagos State public schools’ curriculum.
“The State looks forward to more French investors to take opportunity of Lagos State’s great potential as the largest economy in the sub-Saharan Africa.
