The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari has sent his condolences message to the family of the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, on the death of Abdullahi Sani Abacha.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Mallam Garba Shehu.
The President, who prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, sent his heartfelt condolences to the Abacha’s family.
“The President’s prayers and thoughts are with the family of Abacha as they grieve the passing of the young Abdullahi.
“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the deceased and comfort for those who mourn,” the statement reads.
Abdullahi 36, died in his sleep, at the early hours of Saturday, in his family residence, Abuja.
A jana’iza prayer was held for him, at the Abuja central mosque, yesterday evening, after Asr prayer, and he was buried, according to Islamic rite, at Gudu cemetery, Abuja, that same yesterday.
