Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, won in each of Gombe State’s 11 local government areas.
Atiku received 319,123 votes overall, according to the results announced early on Monday by the Independent National Electoral Commission, defeating Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, who received 146,977 votes. The returning officer for the election was Professor Maimuna Waziri, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Gashua.
Atiku Abubakar received 13,520 votes, compared to the APC’s 7,525 in the Shongom LGA results. Peter Obi of the Labour Party received 2,579 votes, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the NNPP received 256 votes.
Atiku received 23,326, Tinubu 11,715, Obi 3,760, and Kwankwaso 405 votes in the Balanga LGA.
In Nafada LGA, the PDP presidential candidate received 12,339 votes against the APC’s 8,242, while the NNPP received 344 votes and the Labour Party received just seven votes.
According to the Funakaye LGA’s official results, the PDP received 25,384 votes, the APC received 12,672 votes, the NNPP received 767 votes, and the Labour Party received 320 votes.
PDP received 38,479 votes in Yamaltu/Deba LGA compared to the APC’s 18,896, NNPP received 1,591 votes, and Labour Party received 740 votes. PDP polled 24,068, APC 16,245, NNPP 820, and Labour Party 78 in Kwami LGA.
PDP received 21,991 votes in Billiri LGA compared to APC’s 7,232, while Labour received 8,898 votes and NNPP received 653. PDP polled 21,579 votes compared to APC’s 12,925 in Dukku LGA. In contrast to the Labour Party’s 49 votes, the NNPP received 899 votes.
PDP received 55,202 votes compared to APC’s 22,749 for Akko LGA. NNPP received 1,284 votes, while the Labour Party received 2,241. PDP received 20,968 votes, APC 2,464 votes, Labour Party 5,149 votes, and NNPP 486 votes in Kaltungo LGA.
The final LGA to be tallied was Gombe, where PDP received 62,347 votes to APC’s 19,312 votes. 3,015 votes were cast for the NNPP and 2,389 for the Labour Party.
