The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Ret’d.), is set to join the Tinubu/Shettima campaign train.
Speculations have been in circulation that the president is deliberately avoiding the rallies of the presidential candidate of his party, the All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.
However, Buhari will be dousing such claims, as he is set to make his second appearance at the APC rally on Monday, in Adamawa. His first appearance being at the flag-off in Jos in November 2022.
It is worthy of note that, the main opposition party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party hails from Adamawa, as well as the incumbent First Lady of the federation, Aishat Buhari.
Buhari, who had always won the state in four previous successive elections in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015, however, lost narrowly to Atiku in 2019.
