The presidential campaign council of the Peoples Democratic Party have said that despite seeming challenges facing their campaign, its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will emerge president in 2023.
The Special Assistant on Public Communications of the Atiku-Okowa campaign organisation, Phrank Shaibu, stated this in a reaction to the sealing of the Port Harcourt Office of the campaign by the governor of Rivers, Nyesom Wike.
Shaibu said, “Let me say this, whether the cock crows or not, the sun will rise. Atiku Abubakar will be President by the Special grace of God.”
The PDP Presidential Campaign Office located in GRA Port Harcourt was sealed on the orders of the state government earlier on.
Recall, that Wike had a few weeks ago signed Executive Order 22, prohibiting the citing of campaign offices by political parties in residential areas without government approval.
However, Vanguard reported that the State chapter of the PDP PCC had applied for approval from the state government but it had not been granted.
