The Special Assistant to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Digital Communications, Bashir Ahmed, on Monday, alleged that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, is not “different from his supporters”.
This is coming in wake of the outburst of the former governor of Anambra which involved former federal lawmaker, Dino Melaye during the Arise TV presidential townhall meeting on Sunday.
Obi lost his cool after Melaye described his supporters as ‘noisemakers’, while interrupting the former Anambra State governor’s speech with snide remarks and gestures.
Reacting, Obi said: “I won’t take this. That colonel is an NNPP person, and you’re saying it’s Obi People. Dino, please stop that!
“I have taken enough from you here. Why are you always calling me?”
Reacting to the incident, Ahmad knocked Peter Obi for the manner at which he reacted.
Ahmad via a tweet on Monday said, “What happened to Sen. Dino Melaye last night was just a confirmation to those still in doubt; the candidate is not in any way different from his supporters. Dino shouldn’t have gone through that unpleasant experience. What the Labour Party candidate did was so unpresidential!”.
