Nollywood actor and former presidential aspirant, Yul Edochie, has reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence in the president’s ability to navigate Nigeria through its current challenges.
In a heartfelt message shared via his social media handle, Edochie lauded Tinubu’s long-standing commitment to democracy and his strategic acumen.
“To my leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR @officialasiwajubat,” Edochie began, highlighting Tinubu’s historical role in Nigeria’s democratic journey. “You are that man who risked his life, marching on the streets of Nigeria with NADECO members from 1993, asking the military to switch to democracy. You are that man who has fought for democracy for over three decades. And today, you are the President of our great country Nigeria.”
Acknowledging the nation’s current hardships, Edochie expressed optimism about Tinubu’s leadership: “Yes, it’s a rough period in our country. But I know you have all it takes to turn Nigeria around for better. I know you have good plans for Nigerians. And if there’re any hurdles stopping those good plans from materializing, I also know that you have the capacity to tackle all those hurdles.”
Edochie emphasized his steadfast support, stating, “You are the master strategist. You have my 100% support. I will stand by you in good times and bad times. Through thick and thin, come rain come shine, I will stand by you Sir. My word is my bond. I believe you will fix Nigeria. I stand by you solidly.”
This declaration adds to a series of public endorsements by Edochie, who has consistently voiced his belief in Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria. In previous statements, he has praised improvements in power supply and security under Tinubu’s administration, asserting that “many states in Nigeria now enjoy 22hrs per day of steady power supply” and that “terrorist attacks have reduced drastically”
Despite facing criticism for his political stances, Edochie remains resolute in his support, urging Nigerians to be patient and trust in Tinubu’s leadership to steer the country towards a brighter future.
