The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has officially moved the commencement date of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Previously scheduled to begin on Friday, April 25, 2025, the Board explained that the change was made to accommodate vital engagements involving JAMB and its partner agencies.
This update was contained in a statement signed by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, and published via the Board’s official X handle on Saturday.
“The 2025 UTME will now start on Thursday, April 24, instead of Friday, April 25. This adjustment is necessary to allow for important activities involving the Board and its collaborating partners,” the statement read in part.
As part of preparations for the examination, JAMB announced that candidates can now print their Examination Notification Slips starting from Saturday, April 19, 2025. The slip contains essential details such as examination date, venue, time, and important instructions.
“Candidates are encouraged to print their notification slips from today, Saturday, April 19, 2025, in order to make adequate arrangements for reaching their assigned centres,” Benjamin advised.
To access their exam slips, candidates are expected to visit the JAMB website at www.jamb.gov.ng, click on the ‘2025 UTME Slip Printing’ link, input their registration number, and print the slip.
Benjamin also emphasized the importance of early preparation, stating, “Candidates are strongly advised to visit their centres at least a day or two before the examination date to familiarize themselves with the location and avoid last-minute complications.”
He reassured candidates that no one would be posted outside their chosen examination towns. “All candidates will write their examination within the towns they selected during registration. No candidate will be relocated to another town,” he stated.
The Board reiterated that proper preparation and early slip printing will ensure a smooth and stress-free examination experience.
