Aston Villa are reportedly aiming to capitalize on their potential UEFA Champions League qualification to secure the signature of Nigerian winger, Ademola Lookman.
The 27-year-old, currently on the books of Serie A side Atalanta, is widely expected to depart the Italian club once the current campaign concludes.
Villa are said to be keeping close tabs on the forward, with Caught Offside reporting that the Midlands outfit “remain hopeful he will join if they achieve Champions League qualification for a second successive season.”
Atalanta, however, won’t let their prized asset go cheaply, with reports suggesting they are holding out for a fee in the region of €60 million.
Lookman, who made the switch to Atalanta from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in 2022, has attracted interest from several clubs across England, Italy, and Spain.
