Popular skit maker, Mr. Macaroni, has turned down the Labour Party invitation to appear at its rally for the forthcoming presidential elections.
Ace musician, Peter Okoye, professionally known as, Mr P, had on Sunday shared a poster of the ‘Obidient’s’ LP rally with photos of the presidential candidate and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, Aisha Yesufu and others.
Some musical artists billed to perform at the rally included: PSquare, J Martins and the comedian Mr Macaroni.
The post was captioned, “Dear OBIdient, see y’all in Lagos at TBS this Saturday 11 February.”
The venue for the rally is the Tafewa Balewa Square in Lagos.
However, the ‘you’re doing well’ crooner, taking to the comment section, said he would not be taking part in the rally other than casting his singular vote for Obi, his preferred candidate.
He wrote, “Peter Obi is my preferred Candidate. And I am casting my one vote for him. But I won’t be at this Rally.”
Macaroni, who had earlier made his mind known about canvassing for politicians on his Twitter handle, stressed that he would not cajole anyone to vote for his choice.
He tweeted, “MR MACARONI DOES NOT AND WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY POLITICAL RALLY FOR ANY POLITICIAN!
“I have made public my preferred Candidate and that is who I will vote for.
“But I will not urge or beg anyone to vote for who I want to vote for. That is for each person to decide.”
