Yabaji Sani, the Action Democratic Party’s candidate for president, believes he has a good chance of defeating the other oppositions on Saturday.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that his contestants are Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress , Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
During the News Agency of Nigeria Forum, Mr. Sani claimed that the larger parties were all beset by several internal conflicts, which increased the likelihood that he and his party would win the election.
“What is happening with the All Progressives Congress? Check at the so-called main parties; they are all in disarray. Just take a look at the chaos to see that the party is ending.
He emphasized that the problem led the APC-led state governments to sue the federal government over the Supreme Court’s decision over naira notes.
“They claim to have cabals scattered throughout. The person tasked with succeeding the president claims that the APC is engaged in internal conflict and that something is amiss with the country’s governance.
Thus, he said, “God is answering our prayers, and our chances of winning are growing ever greater.”
He added that the fact that the party had taken into account the three sentiments in selecting its nominees for president and running partner would also ensure his election as the nation’s next leader.
He claims that the ADP has the most evenly matched presidential ticket that satisfies the standards or criteria for choosing the nation’s future leader.
“Our party, the ADP, is sensitive to the political realities in Nigeria, and while choosing my running mate, we took into account the issues and sentiments.
“The reasons I chose him as my running mate are that he is an Igbo man, a pastor, and a Southerner.
Thus, he continued, “ADP has tackled these issues by ethnicity, religion, and area, but if you look at a party like the APC, they even have a Muslim-Muslim ticket, which is wrong.”
The South-East and the North-Central, which had been denied the chance to rule in a democratic system, should be given the opportunity to win the election and deliver equal government, according to Mr. Sani.
Politicians and party members from other parties will switch allegiances when the party wins the presidency, according to him.
The APC and PDP, according to Mr Sani, would be irrelevant in the political arena following the polls on February 25.
“We had previously witnessed it. Because all of our politicians are fair-weather, the APC and PDP are made up of the same people, he claimed.
