Governors of the All Progressives Congress under the Progressive Governors Forum on Thursday visited the party’s former National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.
The governors were led by the forum’s chairman and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma.
The eleven PGF members visited Adamu at his residence in Abuja to appreciate his leadership.
Sources at the governor’s residence told the Daily Trust that the governors applauded the leadership of Adamu for leading the party to victory in the 2023 general election.
The source said they also appreciated his courage for resigning in the party’s interest while appealing to him to continue participating in the party’s activities despite the recent incident.
“They thanked him for leading the party to success at the presidential and governorship elections in many states. They told him that they were the products of his success during the general elections,” the source said.
Confirming the above, Adamu himself told the platform that they came to visit him and to appreciate his leadership.
The Governors at Adamu’s residence included those of Katsina, Ebonyi, Sokoto, Niger, Gombe, Benue, Jigawa, Imo, Ogun, Kebbi, and the acting governor of Ondo State.
Recall that Adamu resigned from his position on Sunday night, as did the party’s National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.
