The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, is expected to arrive in Abuja on or before Friday, sources have claimed.
The flag-bearer of the ruling party has been away from the country for the last few days, with several speculations suggesting that he is unwell.
His absence from the country became evident during the presidential candidates’ meeting last week at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, where they were to sign a peace accord ahead of the 2023 elections where he was represented by his running mate, Kashim Shettima.
To quell the rumours, his workout video surfaced online, followed by pictures showing the former Lagos State governor holding a meeting in the UK.
However, a source close to the presidential candidate said that Tinubu has been busy tidying up his manifesto, according to the Cable.
The former Lagos governor is expected to be in attendance at a “crucial meeting” in Abuja on Friday.
“He is returning before the weekend,” the insider told TheCable.
“He has been resting and busy as well, holding crucial meetings, receiving strategic briefings and reading up materials and finalising work on the manifesto. He’s been very engaged.”
