Member of the Security and Intelligence Committee of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidentila Campaign, Abayomi Mumuni has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to reciprocate the efforts Tinubu made in ensuring he became the president of Nigeria in 2015.
Mumuni disclsosed at the weekend that the presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu deserves more support than what he is currently getting from President Buhari.
He made this urge, in a statement, through his Media Aide, Rasheed Abubakar.
Mumuni implored Buhari to reciprocate what he claimed Tinubu did for him before he won the 2015 election.
The former gubernatorial candidate of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change said both Tinubu’s followers and APC in general need more support from the president than what they are currently getting.
He maintained that, “Tinubu carried Buhari, backed him like a baby learning how to crawl to win 2015 and 2019 elections.
While stressing further that Tinubu is yet to enjoy such support from the president now the election is fast approaching, he advised Buhari to pay back the goodwill that was extended to him during trying time.
He said, Buhari should reciprocate what Tinubu did for him in2015. We expect more support from Buhari than what we are getting.
“Asiwaju carried Buhari, backing him like a baby learning how to crawl in 2015 an2019, to win both elections. Basically, we are expecting President Buhari to reciprocate the gesture that was extended to him during trying period.
“Buhari should do better than what we are getting in APC of today”
While expressing hope that Tinubu will win the 2023 election, he said, “However, Asiwaju will surely win the election. That’s to cut the long stories short, because Bola Tinubu has what is required to deliver good governance than those clowns masquerading around the country soliciting for support or vote.”
