The Peoples Democratic Party’s Governorship Forum has held a reception for the newly elected governors and re-elected governors of the party.
The event, which was held in Abuja on Friday, was to welcome new members, who are first-timers and those who were being re-elected for a second term in the office, as members of the forum.
Similarly, the event also featured the send-forth of the ex-chairmen of the forum, to appreciate them for their contributions.
Disclosing this through his Twitter handle on Friday, the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki wrote, “Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) reception for governors-elect and send-forth for ex-chairmen of the forum.”
The forum, which is meant for all the state governors, who are members of the party, across the country, is a platform where issues affecting their states, regarding their relationships with the federal government, are being discussed.
The governors in attendance, were Governor Obaseki of Edo State, Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State and others.
The Presidential candidate of the party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar also attended, while non of the G-5 governors; Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Seyi Makinde (Oyo) and Nyesom Wike (Rivers), was in attendance.
