The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has cast his vote at the ongoing governorship and House of Assembly elections in Lagos state.
The governor, who is contesting for a second term in office, voted at PU06, Eiyekole, Adeniji Adele, alongside his wife.
Speaking with the newsmen, shortly after casting his vote, Sanwo-Olu commended officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, for arriving early and starting the voting process on time.
The number one citizen, who condemned any form of voter intimidation, urged security operatives to ensure a peaceful poll in the State.
Governor Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress, is contesting against other front runners including, the Labour Party candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour I
and Abdul-Azeez Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The Lagos State governorship election is a major point of interest, as the opposition Labour Party LP, has gained a strong foothold, following the party’s surprise win in the State at the presidential election, and this has really placed the governorship candidate of the party, Rhodes-Vivour, among the major contenders in the election.
