American reality TV star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian is scheduled to testify in a French court on April 28, 2025, in connection with the 2016 robbery in Paris, where she was held at gunpoint and robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewelry.
According to the AFP, the case involves six suspects accused of storming Kardashian’s luxury apartment in Paris during the October 2016 attack, in which they made off with items including a diamond ring gifted to her by her then-husband, rapper Kanye West.
According to her U.S. attorney, Michael Rhodes, Kardashian, now 44, is expected to give her account of the traumatic incident during the trial proceedings.
“She’s ready to cooperate with French authorities and hopes the trial will bring closure,” Rhodes stated.
Kardashian, a media mogul with an estimated net worth of $1.7 billion, has remained a constant figure in global pop culture since rising to fame in the early 2000s.
Her journey to superstardom began with appearances on reality television, most notably “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” which documented her family’s personal and professional lives for over a decade.
The Paris robbery marked a turning point in Kardashian’s life and security practices. She later revealed that the experience forced her to reevaluate how she displayed wealth and fame publicly.
“It changed me,” she said in an earlier interview. “I became much more cautious and private after that night.”
Beyond her entertainment and fashion ventures—including her billion-dollar shapewear brand, Skims—Kardashian has pursued a legal career.
She passed California’s “baby bar” exam in 2021 and has been active in prison reform efforts, including a high-profile visit to the White House during Donald Trump’s presidency.
The upcoming trial is expected to draw international attention as Kardashian recounts the night she was bound and robbed by masked men posing as police officers.
Her testimony could play a significant role in securing convictions against the alleged perpetrators.
