The All Progressives Congress was thrown into mourning as Isaiah Edegbo, Deputy Director in the Organization Department of the party’s National Secretariat, passed away at 48.
According to a statement by the party’s national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, Edegbo, from Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, died on Monday, October 28, 2024, in Abuja, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work.
A brilliant lawyer, Edegbo held a Diploma in Civil Law, LL.B (Hons), LL.M (Public Law), and was pursuing his PhD in Commercial Law from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, according to Politics Nigeria.
His contributions to the APC’s successful congresses, conventions, and electioneering activities will be deeply missed.
The party has lost a valuable asset, and his colleagues and friends are grieving the loss of a committed and results-driven individual.
Edegbo’s untimely death serves as a poignant reminder of life’s fragility, and the APC family will rally around his loved ones during this difficult time.

“The late Mr. Edegbo, who hails from Dekina LGA of Kogi state, was 48 years old. Until his passing, he was a Deputy Director in the Organization Department of the National Secretariat.
“He attended CMML Primary School, Anyigba (1981-1986); Kizito Seminary, Idah (1986-1992); Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained Diploma in Civil Law (1997), LL.B(Hons) (2003), LL.M (Public Law) (2016), and his PhD (Commercial Law) in view.
“Although a lawyer by training, the late Isaiah Edegbo was a brilliant, thorough, and dependable staff member who participated and supported the Party in the conduct of many successful congresses, conventions and other electioneering activities.
“He will be sorely missed,” Morka said in the statement.
